BIRDS, FISH AND FLOWERS: Sculptural Forms in Sheet Copper with Sandra Dunn
This introductory coppersmithing course looks at creating volumetric forms out of 2D sheet metal using a variety of simple hand tools. Participants will learn about fundamental material properties, and metal working processes such as annealing, work hardening, hollowing, raising, bending, planishing, drilling, riveting and soldering. Everyone will leave with an animal and a flower in addition to the skills they’ve learned and curiosity they’ve developed.
